Sixth Form Opportunities

The opportunities at Sackville are many.

For example, some year 13 students recently had the chance to undertake work placements in Hamburg.

This is in addition to the year 12 trip which has been running since 2007 and includes visiting Hamburg as well as Berlin and is part of a highly successful exchange with a local college.

Other visits/trips include those with Biology, Physics, Philosophy, Politics, Art and Geography to a wide range of locations in the UK and in Europe.

Students studying Health and Social Care have the chance to visit and work with students from Chailey Heritage, a local school . The sixth form students as a whole recently raised a substantial amount of money for the school.

Every summer year 12 students travel to exotic corners of the globe with World Challenge. The photo is from the 2014 trip to Uganda. In 2015, the school returns to East Africa, visiting Kenya and Tanzania.

Students also have the opportunity to complete Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award whilst in the Sixth Form.

We are very keen to acknowledge achievement and we regularly hold celebration breakfasts and lunches with our students and the headteacher.
